- For a booking record or photo, begin with the countywide arrest and records path, then contact the sheriff or relevant city custodian.
- For a very recent booking, compare the official roster with Arrested Today; neither is a court finding.
- For a dated sheriff or police bulletin, use Arrest Reports and its agency-specific routes.
- For release or transfer alerts concerning one adult, use the official VINE Arrest Check.
- For a sentenced state prisoner or community supervision record, use the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections inmate-information service.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration detention has a separate ICE locator.
- For Morgan City, Franklin, or Patterson records, contact the city police department that created the report before assuming the parish jail holds it.
Charges listed at booking are allegations. They may later be reduced or dismissed, and the relevant court supplies the disposition.
